  1. PICF Committee warmly invites all choirs from all over the world to participate in our event, The 7th PENABUR International Choir Festival (PICF 2026).
  2. Please carefully consider the specific requirements outlined for each category, including the number of songs, age restrictions, and any additional details.
  3. The choir is allowed to register for more than one category. The repertoire for each category must be different.
  1. For choirs participating in the school category, singers must be students from their school's representatives.
  2. For choirs participating in age-restricted categories, it is mandatory to submit a scan of their identification card.
  3. Participant who represents school, church, or who takes part in an age-restricted category, MUST send a statement letter which is signed by the school's principal or other authorized official.
  4. The statement letter MUST include the date of birth and the age of each member (singer, conductor, and musician). The singers' age must be taken into consideration based on the category guidelines, with the competition year (2026) used as the basis.
  5. The Participants will be disqualified if the committee finds any difference between the details in the statement letter and the performance on stage, and no refund will be given.
  1. The program that will be performed on stage must be an original work for choir, not an orchestral reduction.
  2. Song program MUST be approved by the PICF committee. Unapproved program will be informed and must be replaced immediately. Once the songs are approved, choir will receive a Confirmation Letter.
  3. Choirs are NOT allowed to repeat their repertoire across the categories. Each song can only be performed once. (Applicable only for choirs competing in multiple categories).
  4. Choirs who are performing songs not in English are required to submit a description or translation of the song in English.
  5. If the song program fits in another category, the committee reserves the right to change the selected category to another suitable category.
  6. The COPYRIGHT of the song is the responsibility of the participants. The committee is not responsible for any song's copyright that will be performed or the use of the song with photo copy.
  7. The participants must come along with the written license to use the song(s) from the composer. It is mandatory to submit a Permission Letter from the living Composer and Arranger, as well as from the publisher holding the copyright if the Composer/Arranger has passed away.
  8. Choir are required to provide proof of purchasing the scores for the number of participating singers.
  9. Each choir must submit SEVEN (7) sets of original scores for the jurors. 6 (six) sets will be returned to the participants after the awarding ceremony, and 1 (one) will be kept by the committee for the archive. If you fail to collect the scores, the committee will not send them after the closing day.
  10. All fixed program must be submitted latest by July 31st, 2026. PICF committee will not accept any changes after July 31st, 2026.
  11. All scores must be received by the committee via post before July 31st, 2026.

    Failing to do so might affect the evaluation of the performance.
  12. The use of unauthorized copies or handwritten copies is not permitted.
  13. For choir who uses instruments, the score for the instruments is COMPULSORY and must be included in the choir score.
  14. Choirs performing an original composition work are not allowed to change the original key. Choirs performing an arrangement are permitted to change the key, but must send a notification email to the PICF committee.
  15. Participants who make it to the Grand Prix round must perform 2 songs (One of your choice and one new song that has never been perform). Participants who cannot fulfill these conditions cannot compete in the Grand Prix round.
  1. The committee will only provide an acoustic piano.
  2. A maximum of 3 indefinite pitch instruments is allowed in each category and must be informed to the committee.
  3. Please check the terms of use of the instrument for the category you are participating in.
  4. The use of any kind of playback, minus one or soundtrack is strictly prohibited.
  5. The use of amplification is not allowed in this competition.
  1. Participants are required to submit a written list of properties to be used during the performance via email.
  2. There must be no performances with property such as: elements of fire, smoke, glassware, sharp weapons or other dangerous scenes in the building.
  3. Property that is not informed to the committee and is not permitted, may not be used at the time of performance.
  1. Please pay attention to the total pure singing time of the category you are participating in.
  2. The timer will begin after the first note of the 1st song and stop after the last note of the 1st song. The timer will then resume at the first note of the 2nd song and stop at the last note of the 2nd song and so forth.
  3. Choirs exceeding the maximum pure singing time will be penalized 1 point for every minute from their total score.
  1. The schedule and venue of each participant will be informed in August 2026.
  2. Stage rehearsal is only 5 minutes for each category. The time will be counted since the first singers enter to the stage.
  3. There will be no replacement of the performance and rehearsal schedule if participants do not show up at the scheduled time.
  4. Participants who are not present at the time of the competition will be disqualified without any refund of registration fees.
  1. The Participants will be evaluated by national and international juries.
  2. Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards will be awarded based on the score of each participant.
  3. Participant with GOLD Award and the highest score in each category will be named "Category Winner".
  4. The jury panel will nominate the choirs for the Grand Prix Competition.
  5. The Participants with the most juries' votes in the Grand Prix Competition will be named "Grand Prix Winner".
  6. The final score is the total score of the average score of each jury. All results of the juries will be considered final and cannot be contested.
  7. For fairness in assessment, the score from any juror who has an active teacher-student relationship with the choir's conductor, will be excluded.
  8. This competition uses a scoring system with the following criteria:

A special reward will be presented to a conductor or participant who shows an outstanding quality during performance. Each chosen recipient will receive a certificate and IDR 2.000.000 for a development fund.

  1. The participants who receive GOLD Award with the Third Highest Score in each category will earn certificates, Awards, and USD 175 development funds.
  2. The participants who receive GOLD Award with the Second Highest Score in each category will earn a certificate, an Award, and USD 235 development funds.
  3. The participants who receive GOLD Award with the First Highest Score in each category will earn a certificate, an Award, a trophy and USD 295 development funds.
  4. The participants who win Grand Prix prize will earn a certificate, trophy and USD 2.645 development funds.

*The registration fee applies to 1 (one) category. If a choir registers for more than 1 category, the choir must pay the registration fee according to the number of categories entered.

3. REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

  1. Choir must complete the online registration form through our official website: picf.or.id
  2. After filling out the form, the committee will send an invoice for the registration fee to the choir's registered email.
  3. Choir must pay the registration fee within 7 (seven) working days after receiving the invoice and upload the payment receipt via the confirmation link provided.
  4. After the payment is verified, the choir will receive an official confirmation email and a participant package guide from the PICF Committee.

4. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

  • If a choir withdraws or cancels its participation after registration, all fees that have been paid to the committee CANNOT BE REFUNDED under any circumstances.
  • The registration cannot be transferred to another choir or choir group outside of the registered organization.
